The Solemnity of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

“Eternal joy in heaven is God’s plan for us all. Living in deadly sin threatens to eat us up God’s life in us that leads to that joy. In the Blessed Virgin Mary assumed body and soul into heaven, we see what God’s grace can do in and for us. Physical death is not final. Christ’s resurrection, which anticipated Mary’s Assumption, assures us of victory over death. With Christ in us, and like Mother Mary, let us glorify God wholly- body and soul everyday”.
